Meher Khan is a medical practitioner, health care advocate, girls education activist, wife and mother in Philadelphia. Dr. Meher Khan assesses, formulates, implements and teaches optimal health care and life style changes for patients suffering from allergic and immune-related disease. A global health care advocate, she volunteers with Partners in Health, Inc., has served in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in tribal Northern Pakistan as part of the US Department of State program under Secretary Hillary Clinton and has volunteered with Girls Learn International, Inc. for Uganda and Pakistan.

Dr. Khan holds a post-graduate medical fellowship from Thomas Jefferson University and a medicine-pediatrics dual residency from Albert Einstein Medical Center where she graduated with honors. She is a Board Certified allergist-immunologist, a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, has served on the Board of Trustees of Rosemont College, on the Board of Directors of the American-Muslim Society of Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey, and as Chair of the Women’s Empowerment Committee of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America hosting Ms.Valerie Biden. She serves on the Parent and Family Leadership Council and Women’s Leadership Summit of the College of William and Mary and is Chair of The Maria Toorpakai Foundation,Inc. a non profit dedicated to building peaceful communities and gender equity by investing in education, sports and healthcare programs in needy areas of the world.
